I’m Seyoung Kim, a comedy writer and performer based in Brooklyn, NY.

Comedy

I write and perform sketch comedy with Queer Window at venues such as the Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Caveat, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and more. Previous teams include Magnet Theater house teams Milwaukee! and Party Trick. My work has been featured in SF Sketchfest, Austin Sketch Fest, DC Sketchfest, Philly Sketchfest, and PackFest. I’ve also directed sketch for Magnet Theater’s REMIX Diversity Sketch Lab.

I co-host and produce the monthly show Sketch Cage Match at UCB.

I perform improv with The Slaysians. Previous teams include OOF! and Paid 2 Be Here. I’ve performed at the Del Close Marathon and Fun and Dumb Improv Festival.

I created E•MO•TION: The 10th Anniversary Comedy Variety Show and A Sketch Show… Or Else (with Jacob Stone).

Film and Video

I make digital sketches with my group sad sacks and on my own.

I co-produced the webseries Hurry Up & Grieve (in post-production).

I’m on the programming committee for the Asian American International Film Festival.
